Reminder of first meeting

The Metaphysical Bible Study Group will have its first meeting at 8:45 AM (Yes! Early in the morning!) on Sunday, January 10. We will be discussing Genesis 1:1 to 2:3, so be sure to read over and ponder the metaphysical meaning of this passage prior to our meeting. Come prepared to share your thoughts and ask your questions.

As a starter: Pick some creative project you would like to enrich with insights about the creative process in Genesis 1. Think of something you can feel passionate about, something you want to manifest in your life. How can you apply the idea of the first day of creation—"Let there be light"—to your life and your project? What would light mean to you in that context?

Heads up! Workshop on Bible study at Unity of Portland

SUNDAY, JANUARY 24, 1:00–3:00PM
Seven Keys that Unlock the Bible
With Harry Freiwat. This workshop will be based on Dr. Rocco Errico's book, Let There Be Light: The Seven Keys. This unique and exciting study takes you through an unforgettable pourney into Hebrew Scripture and the New Testament. This book equips the reader with seven key insights to understand the allusions, parables, and teachings of the bible: (1) The Aramaic Language, (2) Idioms, (3) Mysticism, (4) Culture, (5) Psychology, (6) Symbolism, (7) Amplification. Without dogmatic or denominational implications, this study reveals many hidden and misunderstood biblical episodes and passages from the viewpoint of Aramaic, the language of Jesus.

Second invitations sent

Only 8 people responded to the first invitation, so I have sent a second invitation to all the others who have not responded. We'll see how well this does!

Online Bible Study Resources

Hi, metaphysical Bible study students!

I've managed to collect a lot of Internet information about Bible study. The first two links, below, are the most important: the hyperlinked version of Charles Fillmore's "Metaphysical Bible Dictionary" and his "Revealing Word," the two basic Unity tools for metaphysical Bible study. The hyperlinked Metaphysical Bible Dictionary (link in the forwarded message below) is pretty amazing, and ought to be a great tool for any metaphysical Bible study you may do.
